The cheap driving lessons debate
Cheap driving lessons are something of a contentious issue, and people are fiercely divided as to their reliability, usefulness and suitability for the aspiring driver. Part of the problem with the cheap driving lessons debate is that there are strong and credible arguments on both sides of the fence and so it can be rather difficult trying to sort genuine indignation from the clever machinations of a rival.
To qualified instructors who charge a higher amount, they argue that cheap driving lessons are problematic because there is the very real risk of the student not being provided the level of support and training that they should be reasonably entitled to expect from their tutor.
More experienced instructors also condemn cheap driving lessons on the basis that they are riddled with scams, such as where the instructor will stall the progress of the student by deliberately getting them into traffic jams.
However, one cannot help but feel that these professionals who are condemning cheap driving lessons have something of an ulterior motive as well, in that by discrediting cheap driving lessons, which effectively cuts into their own profit margins, they are lining their own pockets.
Providers of cheap driving lessons for their part argue that they are able to provide their services for such a nominal amount because they cut costs, reduce their overheads and ensure that they keep their business as efficiently ran as is reasonably possible. To them, more costly driving lesson providers are nothing more than bloated toads, who charge usurious fees for their services with little value to the user.
Ultimately, it is only the student driver who can make a final judgement call as to whether cheap driving lessons are a viable option for them or not. Just make sure that you do your homework, carry out price comparisons and ensure that the cheap driving lessons are actually licensed.
